7pm - 8pm on Mondays.​

2025/2026 season starts on 8th September 2025.

Please note there are no sessions on the following evenings:

20th October 2025 - No Courts

27th October 2025 - Half Term

What? 

Fun sessions with qualified badminton coaches - rackets can be supplied (or you can bring your own)

A message from James Downe, our head coach:
 

Badminton is the fastest racket sport in the world. Professional players can hit a shuttlecock at more than 260 mph and junior players in the club will strive to achieve such speed! The junior club is made up of a mixed ability group of players ranging from the age of 8 to 17 – from beginners to those who play competitively.

 

Each session will involve the introduction of a new shot (smash, clear, serve etc) which players will then practice in routines with partners, before playing games. We have several assistant coaches to help in each session so all children can be supported to learn the basics of the game including grips, scoring, strokes, and tactics.

The club enters two teams in a local league so there will be opportunities to play some matches against other junior clubs.

 

Badminton is a fun sport you can play with friends and family, and you might even have rallies like this one!
